7-9:30PM. Wallingford Neighbors for Peace and Justice presents Friday Night at the Meaningful Movies and the film "Venezuela Bolivariana: People and Struggle of the Fourth World War." Film examines the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela recounting 500 years of the evolution of global capital from the conquest of the Americas to the implementation of neo-liberal globalization. It then focuses on popular movements of the late 1980's and the rise of revolutionary president Hugo Chavez. The film explores the lives of 2 Bolivian brothers, 12 and 14 years old, in their struggle to earn enough money in the Cerro Rico silver mines to continue their education.
