The Mission of NWGC is to strengthen the girl-serving community by fostering education and collaboration in the Puget Sound region. There is no cost to attend. 7-9:30 PM "In Debt We Trust" Presented by Friday Night At the Meaningful Movies and Wallingford Neighbors for Peace and Justice, "In Debt We Trust" is the latest film from Danny Schechter. This hard-hitting documentary investigates why so many Americans are being strangled by debt. While many Americans may be "maxing out" on credit cards, there is a deeper story: power is shifting into fewer hands ... with frightening consequences. "In Debt We Trust" shows how big banks and credit card companies buy our Congress. 10 AM-5 PM. Packing Party. Support the Pastors for Peace 2007 Friendshipment Caravan To Cuba with humanitarian goods for Cuba. Medical personnel have gathered medical supplies and other materials for the Friendshipment for Cuba to help challenge the Blockade and Travel Ban. 5-10:30 PM. Seattle's 2007 Dyke March and Rally. Lamar Van Dyke will be the rally emcee. The Dyke March provides the queer women of Seattle with the chance to gather and celebrate our community during Pride Weekend. Rally will entertain the crowd with political speakers and performers. At 7 PM the March will step off on a circular route around Capitol Hill, ending back at Broadway & Pine, where there will be a "Dance under the Stars" to go until 10:30 PM. Friday Night At the Meaningful Movies and Wallingford Neighbors for Peace and Justice present this movie which looks at the frightening way chemicals in our everyday lives are infiltrating our bodies, mimicking our hormones. By doing this they trigger unwanted activities and block other crucial biological events from taking place. In humans, attention deficit, problems with reading and memory, and difficulty in coping with stress may all be linked to hormone-disrupting toxins in our environment. There will be a loading party and potluck dinner and send off ceremony for caravanistas who are going in defiance of the US travel ban that prevents you from going to Cuba. We will do the physical work of loading all of the medicine and hospital supplies and sporting goods and computers on to the bus. We will try to have some music there too.
