Demands for All US Prez Nominees

The only progressive response to the bovine scat emanating from the buttocks of the presidential candidates is to put them on notice that they will be fully supported and voted for only after they:

--Pull all troops out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Colombia, the Philippines, Germany, Japan, Italy, etc., and turn over all American military bases to their host governments.

--Restore habeus corpus and all civil liberties stolen by the [current] regime.

--Terminate all illegal and unwarranted surveillance of Americans, "watch lists," and secret search and seizure activities.

--Abolish secrecy. Open government to public scrutiny and accountability.

--Abolish "faith-based" policies and nomenclature in order to fully restore science and reason to government.

--Abolish the CIA and all federal and private mercenary militia contractors, save those entities engaging in intelligence-gathering. Abolish the "School of the Americas" (whatever its new euphemism is) and all other Pentagon terrorist-training activities.

--Abolish control and influence over government by the Military-Industrial Complex, the Corporatocracy and the DC Lobbying Industry.

--Institute federal universal medical, dental and drug care for all.

--Tackle the gaping disparity between haves and have-nots. Build new low-income rental housing for Katrina victims to replace what was destroyed, and build new low-income rental housing for all who can't afford anything else. --Bob Miller, Seattle
