Come join UW United Students Against Sweatshops, campus unions, progressive student and community organizations, and others in a solidarity rally to support students and workers at Wisconsin who are under attack by Republican Governor Scott Walker. The rally will include rousing speakers and link up to a USAS national day of action at over 26 cities across the U.S. where students and workers stand in solidarity with Wisconsin.

The timing of this call to action could not be more urgent. Governor Scott Walker not only proposed detrimental cuts to public workers’ health benefits and pension plans, but has called for the elimination of union collective bargaining rights. Copycat union-busting legislation is moving through state houses in Ohio and Indiana. This concerted nationwide assault on collective bargaining rights comes as one part of a right-wing onslaught motivated by corporate greed. It must be stopped. Let’s show students and workers at the other UW some Husky love–let’s take back OUR economy.

Tell your friends. Hope to see you there!

Love,
UW United Students Against Sweatshops
